Reserve your own domain name today
Before you decide what you would like your site to look like, you will
need to call it something. This name is refered to as the Domain Name.
An example name being www.yourname.com. Registering or reserving
a domain is the first step in the hosting process.
Registration
As part of our services, we offer our clients the option of reserving
their own domain name on an annual basis. You can reserve names for one
or more years at a time. Longer terms generally cost less per annum.
Parking
Not sure when you will need your site or how to build it? You can still
register a domain and park it with us until you're ready. This is also
referred to as reserving a domain name. Park a domain with us and you
will get an "under construction" page with an email alias based
on your site's name. For example: anything@yourdomain.com
Transfers
Even if you have a domain parked somewhere else, you can transfer it to
our servers while it is under construction. Transfers are the way you
move from one host provider to another. Transferring is not difficult,
but should be done around the time of renewal for your hosting contract.
