Tricks and Tools
Driving Traffic is the only
way to go
Marketing your site...
There are many sites which claim to help you boost your web site
traffic. There are how to books on marketing your website. There
are even services which offer to enhance your website for less than
a cup of coffee per day. We cannot tell you which ones are the best,
we can tell you there are many out there which do not do what they
claim.
Traffic builders are a good way to pursue a marketing strategy.
Some, including: NetMechanic
and have a fair number of utilities which will come in handy
trying to drive visitors to your site. Other options include Banner
exchanges and or link exchanges.
Getting your site positioned correctly is the key. Whether you use
customer feedback, peer review or paid for consulting, your site
needs to be positioned correctly to be effective. Some of the most
useful sites on the web are those which started out as centers for
customers to voice their concerns and get technical support. Companies
soon realized that; without good customer service, business suffered.
Build your site to address your target market's needs. Compare your
site to what others in your field are doing and strive to do things
better. As we mentioned previously; you can pour many resources
into promoting, marketing, enhancing and optimizing your site, but
if you don't give your visitors a reason to need you by doing things
better or faster, then they probably will find an alternative.
That sums up our attempt at a quick education of "How-to"
and "what-to" do for building, marketing and promoting
your web site. We will be adding tips, tricks and tools on a regular
basis so be sure to bookmark us
before you leave.
